Colorful Delicious Veggie Goodness Go down
Vegan Baby Boomers Wanted;
All Others Welcome!

I am a vegan, and I am a baby boomer. I've always been a member of this particular generation, but have only been meat-free for a short time - since September 25, 2007. That's the date I became a vegan baby boomer.

There are plenty of Vegetarians at middle-age who've been eating plant diets for years. There are plenty of sites for teens, 20- and 30-somethings new to this way of eating. There are lots of college campuses forwarding the veg movement. Unfortunately, though, I haven't found much info for the middle-aged life-long omnivore who is now ready to embrace a fully plant-based diet - the "new vegan baby boomer", so to speak.

Since readying The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, I've found the info so compelling that I had to do this for myself - for my own health. As I gained momentum in establishing these changes and fully adopting a vegan diet, I've found that in addition to helping my own body, I'm contributing to healing the planet - and I need to share what I've learned.

There are ongoing challenges… Just as love does not mean “never having to say you’re sorry”, being vegan does not mean eating as much bread as you want, and there is such a thing as a fat vegan. I still struggle with my eating, and it is not about whether or not to eat meat – that’s a given. I still, however, eat for reasons other than true hunger, and don’t get as much exercise as I should. And I love salty crispy crunchy things.
Celery stuffed with Tofutti Better than Cream Cheese and sprinkled with Spike. Yum.

I love problem-solving, and love to prepare food. Hmmm.

So, here we are. Please join me on this journey... you can be a Vegan Baby Boomer, too.

My goals for this site are simple:
  • To share tips, news, opinions and facts about plant-based diets and their benefits;
  • To express my opinion and perspective about the topic of Vegan eating;
  • To share recipes and particlarly news about Vegan dining out
  • To occasionally rant about related or even unrelated topics. After all, this is my site. Hee hee.

This site is dedicated to all of us looking for answers; for a better way to live in health, happiness and peace.

It's my personal belief that those very answers can be found inside each of us... both literally and figuratively. We are what we eat... we've all heard this, but how many of us realize the truth of it?

My Top 5 Reasons to Adopt a Vegan Diet:

  1. Better Health and Vitality
  2. Reduced Environmental Impact
  3. Ethics

  5. Peace of Mind

"It is very significant that some of the most thoughtful and cultured men are partisans of a pure vegetable diet." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Eat that apple and scrap the cheese. Grab a banana instead of the Beef Jerky. Help your system adjust to regular bean-eating. It's all here...
