Sprout Garden Review
Sprout Garden
Before I get into the specifics of my Sprout Garden review, let me talk about my experience growing sprouts over the past 3 years. I have been using clear glass jars up until now, and had good success for the most part. My biggest complaint was not having enough in the end after tending them for days and days. Second, I would keep them away from light as they sprouted, so they were in an out of the way place, and invariably I would forget to rinse them.
I saw the sprouter Bunny Berry from Raw Fu is using (Tribest Automatic Sprouter So, on to the Sprout Garden review. I LOVE this. After placing my order and receiving my Sprout Garden, I immediately washed it and set it up for 3 initial batches: alfalfa sprouts, radish sprouts and red clover sprouts. It was really easy to soak the seeds overnight, and just leave the Sprout Garden on my kitchen counter. Upon waking the next morning, there it was to remind me I needed to rinse and drain. The opaque covers keep the sunlight away from your seeds, so there is no need to hide it in a dark room (and risk forgetting all about it!)
Growing sprouts is such an easy task, you just rinse the seeds at least twice per day, and wait the required length of days, depending on variety. After your sprouts are ready, turn the covers over to use as trays, and set the sprouts in the sunlight for a full day.
I like to use leftover veggie containers to store my sprouts. It's a great way to recycle, and gives them a little air in the frig.
To complete my Sprout Garden Review, here are a few other factors I reallly like about this system:
Please note that this growing system comes with only alfalfa seeds - you can find other varieties on-line or in your local natural foods store. Buy in bulk if you can!

This review is intended for all of you who may be considering growing your own sprouts from seed. I highly recommend it! There is nothing more delicious than freshly grown alfalfa sprouts, broccoli sprouts, radish sprouts or other varieties, grown in your own kitchen.
